What's the youngest age my kid can start?
Kids can start in our Preschool BJJ program as young as 3 (at most locations). From age 6 they move into Youth BJJ, and from 14 into Teens & Adults. Parents can train alongside their kids in the Family Class.
Is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu safe for kids?
Yes — BJJ is one of the safest martial arts for kids because there's no striking. Kids learn body awareness, falling safely, and how to control a position. Coaches are background-checked and pair kids by size and experience.
What should we wear to our first class?
A t-shirt and shorts or sweatpants — no shoes on the mat. Come 10 minutes early so we can show you around. If you decide to keep training, we'll fit you in an AMP BJJ gi.
Can parents train too?
Yes — and most of our families do. The Family Class is built so parents and kids train on the same mat at the same time. Adults can also train in our regular Teens & Adults classes.
How does pricing work?
Simple weekly memberships, no contracts. Add-On (1 class/week), Unlimited, and Family Unlimited cover the whole household. You can freeze your membership when life gets in the way. Pricing varies slightly by location — see your local page.
How do I book the free trial?

Where do I park?
Every AMP academy has dedicated parking out front. See the address and directions on your local location page — each one has a map and clear front-door instructions.
How often do classes run?
Most locations run kids and adult classes every weekday plus weekend morning slots. Full weekly class times are on each location page under "Schedule."
Are your coaches background-checked?
Yes — every coach and assistant who steps on the mat is background-checked. Head coaches at every AMP location are black belts.
