Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Westlake Hills, TX
Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on Bee Caves Road — a deep weekly schedule for Eanes families, taught by parents who actually like kids.

Westlake parents have high expectations — for their schools, their coaches, and the people their kids spend time with. AMP BJJ Westlake Hills has been earning that trust since we opened, and our Youth BJJ program (ages 6–13) is the program most Westlake families end up in. Classes run every day of the week on Bee Caves Road, split by age and experience, with a real, skill-based belt progression where every promotion is earned.
Because we're a family training center first, parents can train alongside their kids in our Family Class — and many do. It turns BJJ into something the family does together instead of one more activity you drive your kid to. The confidence shows up at Eanes Elementary, Hill Country Middle, and Westlake High. We've watched it happen for ten years on this exact mat.

Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Westlake Hills — common questions.
Are the Westlake kids classes split by age?
Yes — our Youth BJJ at Westlake Hills runs separate 6–9 and 10–13 tracks, plus a teen track for 14+. Your 7-year-old won't be on the mat with a 12-year-old. The room feels right because the matchups are right.
Do you do after-school pickup from Westlake-area schools?
Yes — our Westlake Hills After School program picks up from select Eanes ISD and Westlake-area schools. We supervise homework, run a real BJJ class, and feed kids a snack. Pickup is at the academy on Bee Caves Road by 5–6pm.
How many kids classes per week do you run at Westlake?
Westlake Hills runs Youth BJJ multiple times daily, seven days a week. You can train as little as once a week (Add-On at $39/week) or unlimited ($59/week). Most Westlake families end up on Family Unlimited at $99/week and just come whenever it works.
Is BJJ better than karate or taekwondo for kids?
Most parents in Westlake Hills who compare options end up choosing BJJ. Unlike karate or taekwondo, BJJ is grappling-based with no striking — so kids learn real self-defense without throwing or taking punches, and the technique works against bigger, stronger opponents because it's leverage-based.
Will my kid actually learn to defend themselves?
Yes. Our kids in Westlake Hills learn to handle being grabbed, pushed, tackled, or pinned — without panicking. Just as important, they learn to de-escalate, talk first, and only use jiu-jitsu when there's no other option. That's the whole point of training a real martial art.
What if my kid is shy or hates contact sports?
Some of our best kids in Westlake Hills started exactly that way. Our first goal is making the room feel safe — coaches who don't yell, older kids who mentor the new ones, and a first class with zero pressure. Most shy kids loosen up by class three or four.
Where exactly is AMP BJJ Westlake Hills?
4201 Bee Caves Rd, Ste B-112, Westlake Hills, TX 78746 — tucked off Bee Caves Road next to Eanes Elementary. Easy access from 360, Mopac, and Loop 1.
Is there enough parking for families?
Yes — the Bee Caves shopping center has a big shared lot. Park near the AMP storefront on the B side and walk straight onto the mats.
