We’re excited to announce that AMP BJJ is opening a new location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana this August! Located at 7731 Perkins Road, Suite 130, our newest Family Training Center brings the same heart, energy, and mission that has made AMP BJJ a cornerstone in Austin — and now we’re bringing it home.
This opening is especially meaningful to me. I grew up right here in Baton Rouge and attended The Dunham School. To return and open a place where families can train, grow, and thrive together is a dream come true.
A Jiu-Jitsu Academy Built for Families
AMP BJJ isn’t your typical martial arts gym. We’re a Family Training Center, designed for kids, teens, and adults to grow in confidence, discipline, and resilience — all while learning real-world self-defense in a safe, welcoming environment.
Whether you're a parent looking to train alongside your child, a teen looking for something positive and empowering, or an adult seeking fitness with purpose, we’ve got a program for you.

Our Style of Teaching: Ecological, Games-Based Learning
At AMP BJJ, we use a games-based, ecological approach to teaching Jiu-Jitsu. Instead of boring drills or repetitive techniques, students learn through live-action games and positional sparring. This style of training encourages problem-solving, builds real reflexes, and keeps everyone engaged — especially kids!
Our curriculum also includes our Winning Ways Life Skills Program to help students grow mentally, emotionally, and socially — not just physically.

Baton Rouge is where my story started, and I’m passionate about giving back to the community that raised me. Our goal is to make AMP BJJ a place where families connect, kids build confidence, and adults find purpose — all on the mats.
