What's the youngest age you'll take at Westlake Hills?
We start preschool BJJ at age 3 at our Westlake Hills academy on Bee Caves Road. If your child is a young 3 and still figuring out group settings, come visit — we'll tell you honestly if they're ready, and if not we'll suggest a date to try again.
Does the preschool class connect to your older Westlake kids classes?
Yes — our preschoolers feed directly into our Youth BJJ program (ages 6–13) at the same Westlake academy. Same head coaches, same belt system, same mat. The Bee Caves Rd location is one of the few academies where your child can train BJJ from age 3 straight through their teens without changing rooms.
Will my preschooler train with much older kids?
No. The preschool class at AMP BJJ Westlake Hills is its own dedicated time slot with only 3-to-5-year-olds on the mat. When they age up, they move into the appropriate Youth class — and even there, the 6–9 and 10–13 age groups train separately.
What does a preschool BJJ class actually look like?
